- searchacre.com and SearchAcre services
SearchAcre ("we," "us," or "our") operates searchacre.com (the "Site") and provides search visibility services to local service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and the choices you have.
The Site and our services are intended for businesses in the United States. We do not direct our services to individuals outside the United States.
1.Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the market availability check, a contact form, or otherwise reach out, we collect the information in those fields: your name, business name, business email address, business phone number, city and state, service category, website address, and anything you write in a message field.
Information from working together
If you enter a sales process or become a client, we keep records of our communications and engagement: emails, text messages, meeting notes, audit inputs, proposals, signed agreements, and billing records. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our systems.
Call and meeting recordings
We may record and retain telephone and video calls for quality review, training, and record-keeping. We will tell you at the start of a call if it is being recorded and, where the law requires it, we will obtain your consent before recording. If you do not want a call recorded, tell us and we will not record it.
Accounts you give us access to
To deliver services, you may grant us access to accounts, domains, or business listings registered in your business's name. We treat those credentials as confidential and use them only to perform the services described in your signed agreement.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time on page. We use cookies and similar technologies to do this. See Section 6.
2.How we use information
- Respond to your inquiry and check availability in your city and service category
- Prepare audits, proposals, benchmarks, and reports
- Deliver, maintain, and support services under a signed agreement
- Send service and transactional messages about work in progress
- Send marketing communications you have asked to receive
- Invoice, collect payment, and keep accounting records
- Protect the Site, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for those third parties' own marketing purposes.
3.Text messages
If you check the text message consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from SearchAcre at the mobile number you provide. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase and is not required to receive a market availability check.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services, such as our customer relationship platform and messaging delivery provider, is permitted solely to deliver the messages you asked for. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
The full messaging program terms are set out in Section 8 of our Terms of Service.
4.How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. Companies that run parts of our operation on our behalf: website hosting, customer relationship management, email delivery, text message delivery, analytics, payment processing, e-signature, and accounting. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Professional advisors. Our lawyers, accountants, and insurers, where reasonably needed.
- Legal and safety. Where we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is needed to investigate fraud or protect the rights, property, or safety of SearchAcre, our clients, or the public.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the protections in this policy.
Text message opt-in data and consent records are excluded from every sharing category above except the messaging delivery provider needed to send the messages you requested.
5.Third-party platforms
Our services involve publishing content and managing accounts on third-party platforms, including TikTok. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control how they collect or use data.
SearchAcre is an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance Ltd., Google LLC, or Meta Platforms, Inc. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
6.Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies keep the Site working, remember form state, and protect against abuse. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages people visit and how they arrived, so we can improve the Site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them.
7.How long we keep information
- Inquiries that do not become clients: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete sooner.
- Client records, agreements, and billing: for the term of the agreement plus 7 years, to meet tax and legal recordkeeping requirements.
- Call recordings: up to 24 months, unless a longer period is needed for a dispute.
- Text message consent records: at least 4 years from the date consent was given or withdrawn, to evidence compliance.
- Site analytics: as retained by our analytics provider under its own retention settings.
8.Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. Service messages about active work will continue while your agreement is in effect.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Contact us using Section 11 and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to verify your identity or your authority to act for a business before acting on a request.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, and the purposes; to request correction or deletion; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers, commercial information, internet activity information, audio recordings, and professional or employment-related information, from you directly and from your use of the Site, for the purposes listed in Section 2. We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted without an opt-out. To make a request, contact us using Section 11.
9.Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including access controls on client accounts and credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.Children
The Site and our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11.Changes and contact
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes affecting how we use information you already gave us, we will notify active clients directly.
